Mattomusic is committed to providing a safe environment for our teachers and students. In order to reopen safely, we have put in place the following guidelines:
2. Drop-off Only
At this time, we have implemented a Drop-off Only Policy. Students must be dropped off at the front entrance prior to their lesson. Please wait on a marked line outside or in your vehicle as the lobby will be closed to limit the number of people inside the studio. Text the number posted on the front entrance and a teacher will open the door.
1. Review the Pre-Screening Questionnaire prior to entering
Please review this pre-screening questionnaire prior to entering our studio. This will be posted on our front entrance. If you answer yes to any of these questions please do not come inside. Online lessons are available to any student, please contact us or your teacher directly.
3. Sanitizing and hand washing
Once entered please use the hand sanitizer at the front door. We ask that all students sanitize or wash their hands prior to entering their music lesson room and before leaving the studio.
4. Mandatory face coverings while inside
Wearing a face mask/covering is required while inside our location, as per instructions issued by Durham Region's Medical Officer of Health. Students may wear face masks offered at the front desk or bring their own and should try to limit touching or removing their face masks while in the studio.
5. Maintain at least 6 feet of distance between each other
We ask that our students and teachers limit physical contact and ensure 6 ft of distance is maintained at all times. There will be tape marking the safest distance inside the music lesson rooms.
5. Bring in your own instrument and accessories if possible
Students are requested to please bring their own instrument (guitar, picks, drum sticks, microphone). We will offer instruments to use if needed and will disinfect after each use but we recommend students bring their own where possible.
6. Do not come into the studio if you are experiencing any illness
If you are not well or are experiencing any cold/flu like symptoms please do not come to the studio. We will continue to offer online lessons for anyone that wishes to. Please contact your teacher if you are not coming in or would like to schedule a lesson online.
We understand some of our students may prefer to continue online lessons and we are happy to continue offering this. Please let your teacher know in advance of your lesson and they will happily accommodate. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you for your continued patience and co-operation as we navigate these challenging times. We are excited to keep our doors open and continue teaching music in a fun and safe environment!
