To our Students, Families and Visitors,
We are very excited to announce Mattomusic is reopening its doors on Monday, July 6! Existing students, please check your email regarding our summer hours and summer lesson schedule.
Mattomusic is committed to providing a safe environment for our teachers and students. In order to reopen safely, we have put in place the following guidelines:
Upon entering the studio please check your surroundings. If both the the front desk and lobby are occupied, please wait outside and maintain physical distancing until it is safe to enter. At this time we ask that only one person drop off/pick up each student at a time and if you would like to wait in our lobby please sit at a seat with a marker indicating the safest distance. If there are no seats available we kindly request to wait in your vehicle.
Once entered please use the hand sanitizer and ensure your face mask is on, or pick one up at the front. We ask that all students sanitize or wash their hands in one of the sinks located at the back of the studio prior to entering their music lesson room and before leaving the studio.
Starting Friday, July 10th wearing a face mask is required while inside our location, as per instructions issued by Durham Region's Medical Officer of Health. Students may wear face masks offered at the front desk or bring their own and should try to limit touching or removing their face masks while in the studio. Our teachers will be wearing face masks while teaching.
We ask that our students and teachers limit physical contact and ensure 2 meters of distance is maintained at all times. At this time we are resuming private lessons only in order to maintain safe distancing. Group lessons and camps will resume once restrictions lift and it is safe to do so.
If possible, students are requested to bring their own instrument (guitar, picks, drum sticks, microphone). We will offer instruments to use throughout lessons if needed and will be disinfecting after each use but we recommend students bring their own where possible.
If you are not well or are experiencing any cold/flu like symptoms please do not come to the studio. We will continue to offer online lessons for anyone that wishes to. Please contact your teacher if you are not coming in or would like to schedule a lesson online.
We understand some of our students may prefer to continue online lessons and we are happy to continue offering this service during the pandemic. Please let your teacher know in advance if you prefer to continue music lessons online and they will happily accommodate. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you for your continued patience and co-operation as we navigate through unprecedented times. We are excited to open our doors and see our friends, students and family back at the studio again!
